Kinefinity MAVO Edge 8K Large-Format 8K Cinema Camera
The MAVO Edge 8K is Kinefinity's flagship large-format cinema camera, built on a 44.7 MP full-frame 36 x 24mm CMOS sensor that resolves 8K. It pulls 14-plus stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO of 640 and 2560, and captures 8K Wide (8192 x 3456) at up to 75 fps, 8K open-gate (8192 x 5465) at up to 48 fps, and 45 million pixels in full 3:2 at up to 45 fps. A carbon-fiber body keeps it light for the resolution, and an internal motorized full-spectrum e-ND filter (0.6-2.1) sets exposure without external filters.
It is the first camera to record Apple ProRes RAW internally, alongside ProRes 4444/XQ and 422 HQ, written to dual SSD slots using NVMe M.2-based KineMAG Nano media. Production I/O is comprehensive: dual XLR inputs for phantom-powered 48V mics, dual 1.5G/3G-SDI monitoring outputs with embedded metadata and audio, and time code in and out. The native KineMOUNT accepts EF, E, PL, and LPL adapters so the camera pairs with cine and still glass alike.
