JVC Rokinon DS-24M-MFT 24mm T1.5 Cine Lens
The Rokinon DS-24M-MFT is a 24mm T1.5 wide-angle cine prime built for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It is a full-frame design mounted for MFT, and on a Micro Four Thirds sensor it gives a 47.6-degree field of view. The fast T1.5 aperture opens up low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, and an internal focus design keeps the front element from rotating so matte boxes and filters stay put through a focus pull.
The lens is made for video work. Industry-standard geared focus and iris rings sit in common positions with other Rokinon VDSLR primes, so a follow-focus and gear setup carries across the set. An 8-blade diaphragm shapes out-of-focus highlights, the optical formula uses 13 elements in 12 groups with Ultra Multi-Coating, and the front takes 77mm filters. This is a demo unit sold with a 90-day warranty. Note that the DS-24M is a Rokinon product, not a JVC product; it is offered here for use on Micro Four Thirds cameras such as the JVC GY-LS300.
