JTS CM-502WT Supercardioid Overhead Suspension Microphone, White
The CM-502WT is JTS's overhead suspension microphone, an electret condenser built to hang from a ceiling plate rather than sit on a stand or boom. Its supercardioid pattern reaches down into a room to cover a choir loft, a theater stage, or a school auditorium from directly above the performers, staying out of sightlines and off the floor entirely.
The capsule hangs from a spring holder built into the mounting hardware, which isolates it from structure-borne vibration coming through the ceiling plate. A 7.5 meter balanced XLR cable runs the signal back to the rack, and a windshield ships with the microphone to cut breath noise and HVAC turbulence at that hanging height. It runs on standard 12 to 48 volt phantom power, so it drops onto any console or interface with no separate supply.
