Electro-Voice PolarChoice PC Boundary Microphone
The PC Boundary is a very low-profile area microphone that works on any flat surface and into effectively any mixer. What separates it from a normal boundary mic is the pattern switch: omni, cardioid, supercardioid and figure-8 are selectable on the unit, so one part number handles a boardroom table, a courtroom bench and a two-sided interview.
The voicing stays consistent across all four patterns, so switching does not change the tone of the room. A mute switch is on board and can be set to latch or to work momentarily. The case is steel with a non-reflective camera-black finish, and it runs on 12 to 52 V phantom.
