ESE ES-956U 2.3 Inch SMPTE/EBU Timecode Display

The ES-956U reads SMPTE or EBU time code and displays it on eight 2.3 inch amber LED digits in a wall-mount enclosure, sized to be read clearly from about 70 feet, which is what a machine room or studio wall calls for. It tracks bi-directionally from a thirtieth of play speed up to thirty times play speed, so the readout stays locked whether a source is jogging a single frame or spinning through a high-speed shuttle.

The display switches between hours/minutes/seconds/frames and the user-bit digits carried alongside the time code, an error bypass keeps the reading steady through code dropouts, a drop-frame indicator shows the mode in play, and a Hold control freezes the display when an operator needs to capture a value.
