Datavideo PTR-15 4K Robotic Pan Tilt Head Puts a broadcast camera on a robotic head with 12G-SDI

A PTZ camera is a compromise on the imager; a robotic head is not. The PTR-15 takes a broadcast camera the production already owns and gives it remote pan, tilt, zoom and focus, with the picture leaving on 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 at up to 2160p60.

It carries genlock and timecode, which is what lets it sit in a multi-camera plant rather than beside one, and outputs FreeD positional data for AR and virtual set work. Motion is deliberately slow-capable at 0.12 to 15 degrees per second in pan and 0.06 to 10 in tilt, with 340 degrees of pan and plus or minus 45 degrees of tilt and 199 stored positions. Control is Sony VISCA or DVIP, reaching 1200m over RS-422 or 100m over DVIP, from an RMC-180 MARK II, RMC-300A, RMC-300C, SHOWCAST 100, any VISCA controller, IP or the IR remote.
