Energy hats pair a tightly lathed top with a heavier unlathed bottom. That combination is what makes the stick attack bright and precise while the open wash stays bright rather than woolly, and it is why the chick lands so hard.

Each one is cast from Dream's B20 bronze, then hammered and lathed by hand rather than pressed, which is why two cymbals of the same size are never quite identical. Diameters offered here run 13 in, 14 in, 15 in and 16 in, each ordered as its own part number.
