Crestron MC4
The Crestron MC4 is a compact 4-Series Control System that puts a full control processor and a wireless gateway in one small enclosure. It is sized for single-room media systems, smaller homes and offices, and multi-dwelling units where a rack-mounted processor would be overkill. The 4-Series engine runs a real-time, preemptive multitasking kernel and carries 1 GB of SDRAM with 8 GB of flash storage.
A built-in infiNET EX and ER wireless gateway acquires Crestron wireless devices directly, while wired control runs through one RS-232 COM port, four IR outputs, two relays, and two Versiport I/O ports. The MC4 draws PoE power over its 100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port, adds a Cresnet master port for powered Crestron peripherals, and mounts to a flat surface or expands through Crestron control-port modules and Ethernet bridges.
