Crestron DM-MD8X8 A modular 8x8 matrix that switches everything
The Crestron DM-MD8X8 is a fully modular 8x8 DigitalMedia matrix switcher that provides fast digital video and audio switching with lossless multiroom distribution. Its architecture takes eight input cards and four dual output cards, so the input and output signal types are configured per job from HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI, VGA, DM 8G+, fiber, and H.264 streaming cards.
A 12.5 Gbps backplane carries SD, HD, UHD, 2K, and 4K along with computer signals, and 4K-capable cards add HDCP 2.2 support. The switcher manages EDID, CEC, and USB routing, includes an integrated Ethernet switch, distributes simultaneous 7.1 and stereo audio, and streams H.264, which lets a single chassis serve as the video and audio hub of a large installation.
