Crestron CHV-RTHS Remote Temperature and Humidity Sensor
The CHV-RTHS is a wall-mounted remote sensor that reports both temperature and relative humidity back to a Crestron thermostat, which is what a system needs before it can do anything sensible about dehumidification. Temperature accuracy is 1 degree F across the range, humidity is read across the full 0 to 100% RH with a 5% measurement range tolerance.
It is built to vanish. The face is 1.50 in. across and stands about 1/8 in. proud of the wall, with a primed metal cap intended to be painted or papered over. It drops into a 1 in. round hole in drywall, connects with a single non-polarized twisted pair from a 10 in. 22 AWG pigtail, and can sit up to 500 ft from the thermostat over CAT5. An MMK-RS mounting kit, sold separately, handles the rough-in wiring and positioning during construction and allows a completely flush installation.
