Chauvet DJ Derby X
Derby X throws multicolored chasing beams across a room from six LED clusters carrying 90 emitters in total at 1 W each. What separates it from a basic derby is that red, green and blue are individually controllable within each of the six clusters, so the beams can be different colors from one another rather than all changing together.
It takes eight DMX channels over 3-pin XLR, covers a 96 degree angle, and strobes from 0 to 26 Hz. Built-in automated and sound-active programs run it without a console, and the digital display or the optional IRC-6 remote handles setup. Power draw is only 10 W, so 62 units link on a single 120 V circuit. It weighs 4 lb.
