Canon Speedlite EL-5
The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is an advanced flash designed around Canon's newer multi-function shoe, the accessory connector found on recent EOS R series bodies. That digital connection deepens communication between camera and flash and lets the EL-5 draw on the camera's data for smarter, more consistent exposures. It covers a 24-200mm zoom range, pulls down a wide panel for 14mm coverage, and puts out a guide number of 60 meters at ISO 100, making it a capable single-flash solution for portraits, events, and location work.
The EL-5 runs on the same LP-EL Lithium-Ion battery pack used by Canon's flagship flash, giving recycle times of roughly 0.1 to 1.2 seconds. Using the free Canon Camera Connect app, you can adjust flash intensity, exposure compensation, sync settings, multi-flash control, and flash exposure bracketing remotely from a smartphone. It ships with a soft case, stand, and the LP-EL battery pack.
