Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II
The Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II mounts on the front of a Canon macro lens to wrap a subject in even, close-range light. Its two flash tubes can fire together for shadowless illumination or independently to shape highlights and give small subjects dimension, which makes it a staple for dental, medical, product, and nature close-ups where a hotshoe flash cannot reach.
White LED focusing lamps and two modeling-flash modes let you preview the lighting before the exposure, and full E-TTL II metering keeps flash output automatic as you move in and out. It can act as an optical wireless master to trigger additional Speedlite units such as the 600EX-RT for more elaborate setups, and it runs on four AA cells or the optional CP-E4 battery pack.
