Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM
The EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM is a fast short-telephoto prime for EF-mount full-frame bodies, built around the classic 85mm portrait focal length. The bright f/1.4 aperture isolates a subject against a soft background, and a nine-blade circular diaphragm keeps out-of-focus highlights round and smooth. A GMo aspherical element and Canon's Air Sphere Coating hold flare and ghosting in check, while the dust- and water-resistant barrel suits professional use.
This is the first Canon 85mm L lens with Image Stabilization, giving up to four stops of shake correction for handheld work in low light. Ring-type USM drives quiet, responsive autofocus with full-time manual override, and the lens focuses down to 0.85 m. It accepts 77mm filters and ships with the ET-83E hood, LP1219 case, and E-77II lens cap.
