Blackmagic 6G-SDI SFP Optical Module

The Blackmagic 6G-SDI SFP Optical Module drops into a Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G to add optical fiber connectivity for SD, HD and Ultra HD SDI signals. It uses the same standard SFP cage as networking optics, so it installs with no tools and no special training.

Sending SDI over fiber instead of coax removes distance and interference limits on long cable runs between a camera and a truck or control room, and the 6G rating covers 4K signals as well as HD. Blackmagic part number BMD-ADPT-6GBI/OPT.
