Blizzard Lighting Cool Cable 3-Pin DMX Cable
Cool Cable is Blizzard's own DMX line, wired male to female on 3-pin XLR and built to the USITT DMX512 spec rather than to microphone-cable tolerances. The conductor pair runs at 120 ohm characteristic impedance with low capacitance and a double foil-and-braid shield, which is what keeps a long control run clean when it shares a truss with power.
The pair is oxygen-free copper at 0.34 sq mm and wound roughly five times tighter than an ordinary XLR cable, inside a black PVC jacket that stays flexible in cold or hot rooms. Connectors are color-coded so a data run is not mistaken for audio at load-in. Three lengths cover fixture-to-fixture jumps and the run back to the console, and Blizzard backs the cable with a lifetime warranty.
