Black Lion Audio T4BLA Opto Element Optocell (electroluminescent panel replacement)

The T4BLA is Black Lion's replacement for the stock T4b-style optocell at the heart of most optical compressors, built after the company found that no commercially available optocell held up to its testing standards. Hand-trimmed, custom-shaped electroluminescent panels are checked on a proprietary optocell tester for consistent behavior unit to unit, delivering even, natural compression with minimal pumping artifacts.

It is designed, engineered, assembled, and tested in the USA, and drops into the optical compressors that use a standard T4-style cell, including the ADL 1000, ADL 1500, Golden Age Comp2A and Comp3A, Klark Teknik KT2A, Universal Audio LA-2A and LA-3A, Warm Audio WA2A, and several others.
