BirdDog MAX 12x NDI PTZ Camera

MAX is BirdDog's answer to the gap between a webcam and a production camera. Plug the USB-C into a laptop and it is a UVC 1.1 webcam that Zoom or Teams will find on its own; put it on the network instead and the same camera is an NDI|HX2 or HX3 source a switcher can take, with HDMI running in parallel for a local monitor or recorder. One PoE cable carries the video and the power.

The imaging is real PTZ hardware rather than webcam parts: a Sony 1/2.8 inch CMOS behind a 12x optical zoom that opens to 80.56 degrees horizontally at the wide end, which is what makes it usable in a small room where a longer lens would only see a shoulder. Pan and tilt run to 175 degrees and 90 degrees with 255 presets, control comes over VISCA, VISCA-IP, NDI, RS-232 or RS-485, and it draws 13W maximum. It ships in black, white, beige, blue and green so it can disappear into a boardroom instead of announcing itself.
