Auralex RC-8 Resilient Channel Actually Cuts The Sound Transmission Through A Wall

RC-8 Resilient Channel is a formed 25-gauge steel channel that hangs drywall off the studs or joists instead of screwing it directly to them, which is what actually cuts the sound transmission through a wall or ceiling assembly.

Install it horizontally at the top and bottom of the wall and every 2 ft or less in between; it can carry up to two layers of 5/8 in drywall plus a layer of SheetBlok, even on a ceiling. It's Class A fire rated per ASTM E-84 and ships in 8 ft lengths, 24 pieces per box.
