Audix MicroBoom 84 System with Micros Condenser
The MicroBoom system is a carbon fiber boom rod, a Micros-series miniature condenser, a clutch assembly, a 25 ft shielded cable and a windscreen, sold as one working assembly. It clamps to any microphone stand and puts a small capsule where a stand cannot go: over a choir, above a theatre stage, into an orchestra pit. The cable runs inside the rod, so the signal path stays clean and there is nothing draped along the boom.
The stand adapter uses a flexible metal gooseneck, so angle, rotation and position are all adjustable after the rod is up. Choose the capsule by pattern: M1250B is the cardioid, M1250BHC the hypercardioid, M1255B the high-output cardioid and M1255BHC the high-output hypercardioid. Black and white finishes are offered so the boom disappears against the room it hangs in.
