Audix FireBall Dynamic Instrument Microphone
The FireBall is a compact cardioid dynamic designed specifically for harmonica - diatonic and chromatic - and beatbox. Its VLM diaphragm reproduces a natural, detailed sound with fast transient response, and it handles the extreme close-cupped SPLs harp players generate, in excess of 140 dB, without breaking up. The cardioid pattern provides isolation and feedback control on a loud stage.
It is lightweight, compact, and comfortable to cup in the hands the way harmonica technique demands. A precision-machined aluminum body, steel mesh grille, and three-stage marbled anodized finish make it distinctive and durable. Because it is a low-impedance mic, a quality low-to-high impedance transformer is needed when feeding a guitar amp. Designed, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA.
