Atomos Shogun Classic 7" Monitor-Recorder-Switcher
The Atomos Shogun Classic is a 7.2-inch monitor-recorder-switcher built around a 1920 x 1200 touchscreen that peaks at 3000 nits with 1,000,000:1 contrast, bright enough to judge exposure and focus outdoors without a hood. Quad-Link 3G-SDI (two 12G-SDI connections) and HDMI 2.0 both feed in, with HDMI and dual 12G-SDI loop-out, so it slots into SDI cinema and broadcast rigs as easily as an HDMI mirrorless setup.
It records Apple ProRes (HQ, 422, LT) and Avid DNxHD/DNxHR up to 4Kp60 to Master Caddy II, Master Caddy III, or SSDmini media, and its switcher mode lets a single operator cut between multiple SDI sources live from the same 7-inch screen. It runs on 6.2V to 16.8V DC and takes two NP-F or L-Series batteries on the rig. Atomos part number ATOMSHG701.
