Atomos Shogun Ultra 7-Inch HDMI/SDI HDR Monitor-Recorder
The Atomos Shogun Ultra is a 7-inch monitor-recorder aimed at cine-style production, pairing a 2000nit SuperAtom IPS touchscreen at 1920 x 1200 with the widest recording options in the Atomos line. It has both HDMI and 12G-SDI in and out, and it captures RAW up to 8K30p, 6K60p, and 4K120p while simultaneously passing a standard viewable signal to gear that cannot handle RAW.
Codec choice runs from Apple ProRes RAW through ProRes HQ, 422, and LT to Avid DNxHD and DNxHR, and the Ultra can record full-quality ProRes RAW while laying down an H.265 proxy at the same time. Running AtomOS 11, it adds EL Zone exposure mapping, ARRI false color, and scheduled recording, with Wi-Fi 6E and Gigabit Ethernet built in. Contact G&G for current pricing and availability.
