AJA FiDO-TR-MM 1-Channel 3G-SDI Multi-Mode LC Fiber Transceiver

The FiDO-TR-MM carries one 3G/HD/SD-SDI channel in each direction over multi-mode fiber, with runs up to 700 m (2296 ft) on OM4 and 300 m (984 ft) on OM3. A transceiver puts the send and the return in one enclosure, which is what a camera position or a remote flypack needs when it has to both feed program out and take a return feed back. Fiber transport also isolates the two ends electrically, which is the practical cure for the ground loops that show up on long copper runs between rooms, trucks and stages.

FiDO converters sit in a low-profile enclosure that fits behind a monitor, in the back of a rack or on a camera rig, and the multi-mode LC connector is what distinguishes this model from the rest of the family. It runs on 5 to 20V DC from the included universal power supply, reclocks the supported rates automatically and passes everything else through untouched.
