Yamaha PX Series Power Amplifier
The Yamaha PX series is a line of lightweight, two-channel Class-D power amplifiers with onboard DSP, aimed at powering passive PA and install systems without a separate processor. Each model carries flexible crossover, high- and low-pass filters, delay, a limiter, and both preset and 6-band editable PEQ, plus Yamaha's D-CONTOUR multiband dynamic processing to get the most out of the connected speakers.
Four models scale the output: the PX3 (2 x 500 W at 4 ohms), PX5 (2 x 800 W), PX8 (2 x 1050 W), and PX10 (2 x 1200 W). All are two-channel designs; the PX3 and PX5 add a Power Boost bridged mode that combines both channels into one higher-power output. A front-panel display and rotary encoder handle setup, and the efficient Class-D design keeps weight and rack heat low.
