Wooden Camera UMB-1 Universal Mattebox (Base)

The UMB-1 Base ships with two rotating 4x5.65 filter stages (a third stage is optional), individual tray catchers, a folding French flag, a 143mm-diameter opening, and a height-adjustable 15mm LW rod bracket that adapts to studio rods. NATO-standard accessory rails run along the left, right, and top for mounting on-set accessories, and a universal cloth donut with finger loops handles non-standard lens diameters.

It's built to be upgraded in place - from Base to Clamp On to Swing Away to an ultralight configuration for stabilizer work - as a production's needs change, rather than requiring a second matte box purchase. The kit ships in a custom foam insert sized to drop into a Pelican 1550 hard case (not included).
