Vazen 28mm T/2.2 1.8X Anamorphic LensFor M4/3 Cameras
The Vazen 28mm is a front anamorphic prime with a 1.8x squeeze, sized so the oval image lands on the full 4:3 area of a Micro Four Thirds sensor and unsqueezes to a 2.39:1 frame with nothing cropped away. Front anamorphic optics are what give it the look people buy anamorphic for: oval bokeh that stretches toward the edges of frame, and the horizontal blue flare that streaks off a practical or a car headlight. It opens to T2.2 and stops down to T16.
It is a manual cine lens, not a stills lens with gears bolted on. Focus and iris turn on separate rings, both cut with 0.8 mod cine gears for a follow focus, and the focus rotation runs a full 300 degrees for the kind of precision a puller needs. Focus breathing is minimal. Close focus is 2.7 ft, the front is 80mm across with a 77mm filter thread, the mount is Micro Four Thirds, and the lens weighs 720 g, so it stays gimbal-friendly on a small mirrorless body.
