This is a clear, premium-coated protection filter in the standard 4x5.65 inch drop-in format, for keeping dust, fingerprints, and scratches off the front of a matte box filter stack rather than risking the lens's own front element or a more expensive effects filter.

It fits the same tray as the rest of a production's 4x5.65 inch matte box glass, so it slots into an existing filter stack without a different mount.
