Totevision LED-1562HDR

The LED-1562HDR is a 15.6-inch LED-backlit LCD in a 6RU rack panel, and its selling point is that it shows native Full HD without throwing pixels away. The 1920 x 1080 panel runs a 16:9 native aspect, so a 1080i or 1080p feed maps one-to-one with no downscaling and no softening of the fine detail that matters when you are checking focus or reading burned-in timecode. Brightness is 300 cd/m2 against a 600:1 contrast ratio, the response time is 8ms, and a 3D comb filter cleans up composite sources on the way in.

Connectivity is unusually complete for a rack monitor this size: two HDMI inputs, a composite BNC input with a BNC output for looping, a 15-pin mini D-sub VGA input, and an RS-232 input for control-system integration. Audio takes RCA L/R or a 3.5mm PC input and drives two 5-watt speakers into 8 ohms. It runs on regulated 12VDC at 3A, negative ground, and draws only 8 watts at maximum.
