Totevision LED-1910HDVBR 19-inch High-Brightness 8RU Rack-Mount Monitor

The LED-1910HDVBR is the high-brightness member of Totevision's rack line, and the number that defines it is 1,000 cd/m2. That is roughly four times the output of an ordinary rack monitor, which is what it takes to stay readable in a control room with sun coming through the glass, in a mobile unit parked in daylight, or anywhere a normal panel washes out to a gray rectangle. The 19-inch TFT active-matrix screen is 1280 x 1024 at a 5:4 native aspect with 16.7 million colors, and it fills 8RU of rack.

Inputs run wide rather than modern: one HDMI, two composite BNC inputs with outputs, a VGA input, an S-Video input, and two audio inputs, which suits a facility still carrying analog cameras and legacy playback gear. A 3D comb filter conditions the analog paths so composite feeds come through clean rather than smeared. Two 2.5-watt speakers cover audio, and the anti-glare coating works with the high backlight rather than against it. It runs on 12VDC from the included external AC adapter and draws under 20 watts. The durable metal housing measures 19 x 13.5 x 1.9 inches, weighs 8.07 pounds net, and it is rated to 122 degrees F, which matters in a hot rack.
