Sennheiser ME104-NI Cardioid Capsule Head
The ME 104 is a cardioid capsule head for Sennheiser's modular miniature microphone system, threading onto a KA 100 cable to make a discreet lavalier or clip-on for speech and stage work. The cardioid pattern favors the wearer and turns down sound from the sides and rear, so it holds off feedback and room noise better than an omni in a live setting. A gently falling low-frequency curve keeps handling thumps and wind rumble out of the signal.
This is the nickel-finish version, supplied with an MZW 102 windscreen. As a back-electret condenser it is permanently polarized and draws only a trace of current, so it works with the wireless bodypacks and cable modules of the modular system without needing separate phantom power at the capsule.
