Sound Control Technologies MDC6 Serial Hub for Cisco Environments

A room with several SCT extension kits in it normally means several serial runs back to the codec. The MDC6 collapses that: six RS-232 ports on the hub, one connection to the codec over RS-232 or IP, and every attached SCT device becomes addressable through it. Video switching, heartbeat monitoring and system health reporting are driven from the Cisco touch panel with no additional programming.

Because the hub talks natively to Cisco Control Hub, the extenders stop being invisible boxes in the ceiling and show up alongside the rest of the Cisco estate for remote monitoring and diagnostics. Supported SCT devices include the RTK-AM1 table extension kit, the RC5+ and RC5 Gen2 camera extenders and the RC8 Gen2 Cisco Quad Camera extender.
