Sachtler System Cine 20 HD CF MS

The 1983 is Sachtler's Cine 20 HD CF MS package, built around the Cine 20 fluid head on carbon fibre 2-stage legs with a mid-level spreader. It carries 2 kg to 22 kg (4.41 lb to 48.5 lb) on a 100 mm bowl. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 16 counterbalance steps + Boost Button and 7 + 0 drag settings on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs +90° to -80° with 15 cm (5.91 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 73 cm to 174 cm (28.74 in to 68.5 in), and folds to 94 cm (37.01 in) for transport. The complete system weighs 9.5 kg (20.94 lb). Levelling is by an illuminated level bubble. Sachtler rates the head from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F), so the fluid does not thicken in the cold.
