Rode PSA1 Studio Boom Arm
The PSA1 is a professional studio boom arm that puts a microphone exactly where you want it and keeps it there. Its parallelogram linkage holds the mic pointing in a constant direction as you raise or lower the height, so you can set the angle once and adjust position without re-aiming. Internal springs handle the counterbalance quietly, avoiding the creak and clunk of tension-spring arms during a live take.
The arm rotates a full 360 degrees with roughly 820 mm of horizontal and 840 mm of vertical reach, and it supports a microphone and shockmount weighing between 1.5 and 2.4 pounds. It ships with both a desk-clamp and a threaded desk insert, so it mounts to almost any desktop for radio, broadcast, podcasting and home studio use.
