PrimeLight Design VoxBox Pro MKII Kit
The VoxBox Pro MKII is a mirror box that mounts in front of the camera lens for down-the-lens interviews: an interviewer sits at the box's open face and is seen by the subject through a beamsplitter mirror, while the lens looks straight through the glass to capture the subject making apparent eye contact with the audience. It rigs to a camera's existing 15mm rails in place of a matte box, so a crew already running rails does not need extra rods, cheese plates, or adapters to add it.
Machined from lightweight aluminum, the box mounts a 140mm beamsplitter with less than a stop of light loss and clears down to roughly a 24mm lens on Super 35 sensors before vignetting. The included tablet holder clamps anything from a phone to a 188mm-wide tablet and converts the box to a standalone teleprompter in seconds, and the whole kit breaks down into a hard case with laser-cut foam that can travel rigged and ready for the next setup.
