The McKinnon Camera Pack 35L V2 keeps the format that made the original work, a camera compartment and a clothing compartment in one 35 litre body, and fixes the things people asked about. The front face is now structured so it holds its shape under load, the clothing compartment grew roughly an inch in every direction and gained its own expansion, and the main fabric moved to a higher-tenacity weave that took a quarter pound off the pack.

The camera compartment is unchanged at 21 by 12.5 by 5.25 inches with four medium and five small folding dividers, reached through the full back panel or the refined side access. The 7 litre expansion now sits on the front compartment for cleaner access, the main zipper runs on a reinforced gusset, and there are two laptop sleeves: a side sleeve for a 16 inch machine and an internal sleeve for a 14 inch one, plus an RFID-safe pocket and hidden water bottle and tripod pockets.
