The WAX608Y is NETGEAR's outdoor WiFi 6 access point for a courtyard, a loading dock, a stadium concourse or a campus path between buildings. The enclosure is rated IP55 against water, dust, snow, hail, frost and long sun exposure, and both a pole-mount kit and a wall/ceiling kit ship in the box. It is dual-band AX1800, fed by a single 2.5G Ethernet port that takes 802.3at or 802.3af PoE, so one cable from the switch carries data and power.

Management is NETGEAR Insight, cloud or local, with up to eight SSIDs on their own VLANs, WPA3 and remote management from the Insight app. NETGEAR rates it for 250 clients. The -111NAS package includes a four-year Insight subscription and four years of ProSUPPORT OnCall 24x7, on top of a five-year hardware warranty with next-business-day replacement.
