NETGEAR APM414SD Multimode Fiber Interface Card for M4350-16M4V
Fiber inside a venue gets stepped on, coiled, and re-mated far more often than fiber in a riser, and a bare LC duplex is not built for that life. The APM414SD terminates the M4350-16M4V uplink on two Neutrik opticalCON QUAD connectors instead: a latching, gasketed shell of the kind already used on touring and broadcast fiber, carrying four multimode transceivers between the two ports.
Multimode is the in-building choice, which covers most of what an AV-over-IP fiber run actually is, a link between two rooms or two racks in the same facility rather than between two addresses. The card drops into the same slot as the copper APM414C and the single-mode APM414LD, so the connector standard and the reach are a card-level decision rather than a switch-level one. Transceivers are ordered separately.
