NETGEAR APM408P 8-Port Multi-Gig PoE+ Port Card for M4300-96X
This is the card you fit to an M4300-96X when the endpoints need power as well as bandwidth. Eight RJ-45 ports negotiate 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10GBASE-T on ordinary structured cabling, and each one delivers PoE+, so a Wi-Fi 6 access point, a PTZ camera, an AV over IP encoder or a ceiling microphone runs from the same cable that carries its traffic. Multi-gig matters here because the devices that need PoE+ are usually the ones that outgrew a gigabit port first.
One installation detail decides where the card goes: in the M4300-96X chassis only slots 1 through 6 support PoE and PoE+, so a powered card belongs in the lower half and the non-powered copper and fiber cards fill the rest. Within that constraint the card is hot-swappable, and slot-based port numbering keeps the addressing of the existing cards untouched when you add it.
