Martin Audio Wavefront Precision WPL 3-Way Line Array Element

WPL is the largest Wavefront Precision element, the box you hang when the throw is long and the crowd is big. Two 12" ultra-long-excursion neodymium drivers work into a Hybrid bass horn for output down to 52Hz, two horn-loaded 6.5" mid drivers cover the midband, and three 1" exit compression drivers take the top, producing 145dB peak in the HF section.

Each cabinet is a 3.75 degree vertical trapezoid with a 7.5 degree vertical pattern and 90 degrees horizontal, so arrays of up to 24 boxes stay coherent across a stadium-scale audience. One or two enclosures share a bi-amp channel pair on an iKON iK42, which is what gives Wavefront Precision its per-box array control. The birch and poplar ply enclosure is IP54 rated and tested to MIL-STD-810H, with a three-point rigging system, four side pocket handles, and black or white paint with a matching grille.
