Manfrotto Super Wind Up Stand with Geared Column

This is the stand for the fixture that has to go higher than a normal grip stand reaches. The geared column and two risers wind up to 366 cm on a crank, smoothly and with little effort, and hold 80 kg all the way out - the load rating does not fall off at full extension. Steel column and steel base, with tube diameters stepping 70, 60 and 50 mm.

A levelling leg takes out the slope on location floors, and the top is a 1 1/8 in (28 mm) socket that accepts standard junior fittings and the 425B Mega Boom. The design carries a TUV certification, which is what a rental house or a venue safety officer will ask about before a heavy head goes up. Choose chrome or black steel; the two are otherwise identical.
