Mackie DRM Series Passive Loudspeaker
The DRM Passive cabinets use the same transducers and enclosures as the powered DRM range with the amplifier and DSP left out, which is what an installer wants when the amps live in a rack and the processing is handled centrally. Each box has a precision internal crossover and a 1.4-inch titanium-diaphragm compression driver, in a flyable, road-ready cabinet.
The DRM212-P handles 400 W continuous, 800 W program, and 1600 W peak. DRM215-P is the 15-inch two-way at the same 1600 W rating; DRM315-P is the 15-inch three-way at 2000 W; DRM12A-P is the arrayable 12-inch cabinet at 2000 W. A dual-angle pole mount is fitted to the two-way models. Mackie's optional SP260 loudspeaker processor supplies the matching EQ curves and crossover points for a DRM passive system, which is the sensible way to get the powered range's voicing out of a passive rig.
