The Gemini 1x1 Soft is Litepanels' RGBWW panel in the one-foot format, and it does two jobs that used to need two fixtures: it puts out accurate daylight and tungsten white light across a 2700-10,000K range, and it dials in any color on the wheel without a gel in front of it. Four modes cover the work: CCT with plus and minus green correction, HSI for full hue and saturation control, Gel mode for the popular gel presets, and an Effects mode for fire, TV, and emergency-light looks. The diffused face reads soft on skin, with CRI/TLCI of 97 at daylight and 94 at tungsten, and it dims from full to 0.1 percent with no color shift and no flicker at any frame rate or shutter angle.

Power is where this panel earns its keep on location: it runs on 100-240VAC or 13-28V DC and draws only 200W, so a V-Mount or Gold Mount battery on an optional plate keeps it running at 90 percent output from a single 14.4V pack, or full output on 26V or dual batteries. Control is on the fixture, over DMX via 5-pin XLR or RJ45, or wirelessly through the built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and the SmartLite Director app. There is nothing to assemble; the fixture hangs from its standard yoke on a 1-1/8 in. junior pin and stacks two or four units deep.
