Kramer WP-EN6 4K60 HDCP 2.2 PoE 2-Gang Wall-Plate Video Encoder

The WP-EN6 puts an AV-over-IP encoder behind a standard US 2-gang wall plate. It takes HDMI up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 with HDCP 2.2 and streams it over a 1G network via RTSP in unicast or multicast, alongside IR, RS-232, and USB carried over the same link. Because the codec is standards-compliant JPEG 2000, the stream also decodes in VLC and other software, which makes commissioning and fault-finding far less painful than a proprietary codec.

Power comes from the extension line: the unit auto-senses PoE and takes power from a PoE switch or matrix, with an optional 12V supply if the switch cannot provide it. Built-in scaling and cropping let one source drive a video wall from 1 to 256 screens on the decoder side. Bit rates peak at 850Mbps, averaging around 350Mbps at 4K and 250Mbps at 1080p, and it ships with a white Decora-style frame set.
