Kramer CRS-FIBERH-S1 Secured Unidirectional HDMI over Pure Fiber Cable
The CRS-FIBERH-S1 solves a specific security problem: a normal HDMI or hybrid-optical cable is bidirectional, carrying an EDID/DDC handshake back to the source, which is exactly the channel a secure signage or command-center feed does not want open. This cable is unidirectional by design, with EDID values pre-stored in the cable itself, so video only ever flows one way down its pure-fiber core.
Built around 4x multimode fiber strands in a 3.4mm TPU jacket with 24K gold-plated K-Lock HDMI connectors, it draws its power straight from the source's HDMI port (56mA max, 0.28W) with no separate supply needed, and an optional inline switch can mute audio when required. HDCP, CEC, HEAC, and ARC are deliberately not supported, consistent with a one-way signal path; supported resolution tops out at 1080p60 4:2:0 at 10.2Gbps, with Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DVD Audio, and SA-CD carried in the one-way stream.
