JBL Professional JBL M2 Master Reference Monitor

The M2 is JBL's master reference monitor: a two-way floor-standing system built around a 2216Nd 15-inch Differential Drive woofer and a D2430K dual-diaphragm, dual-voice-coil compression driver, crossed at 800 Hz. In-room response is 20 Hz to 40 kHz within 3 dB, with 117 dB continuous and 123 dB peak at one metre - and still 108 dB peak at eight metres, which is the number that matters in a large control room.

This is not a powered monitor. Each M2 requires a Crown iTech 5000HD amplifier, or one iTech 3x3500HD will drive a pair, running the JBL-authored tunings. The cabinet is 25 mm MDF in satin black lacquer and can stand free or be soffit-mounted; a removable ABS grille is included. Each cabinet weighs 129 lb.
