Gator Frameworks Studio Mic Boom with 16 lb Hex Base
A large-diaphragm condenser in a shockmount, out at the end of a boom, is a lever - and a tripod base gives way to it. This stand answers that with a 16 lb hex base that keeps its weight low and central, so the arm can reach without the whole thing walking toward the fall.
The column rises from 42 to 72 in on a secure twist clutch and the telescoping boom arm extends from 32 to 47 in, which covers everything from a seated vocalist to a drum overhead. Construction is heavy-duty steel throughout, and included clips run the cable along the arm so it is not swinging free against the mic. The whole stand weighs 25.2 lb.
