Galaxy Audio CM130 Check Mate SPL Sound Pressure Level Meter Pocket SPL Meter

The CM130 is the compact end of the Check Mate line: a half-inch electret condenser capsule feeding a four-digit LCD, with four level ranges from 40 dB up to 130 dB and both A and C weighting. Fast and slow time weighting cover the two jobs a sound meter usually gets asked to do, catching transients and reading a steady house level.

It runs about 110 hours on the included 9 V battery and reads to 0.5 dB resolution, updating twice a second. Over and under alarms flag a level that leaves the selected range. At 9.1 inches long and 6 ounces it lives in a gig bag, which is the point.
