Datavideo KMU-100 4K Multicamera Processor
The KMU-100 turns one or two 4K cameras into a virtual multicamera shoot by cropping up to eight independent "cutout" views out of the wide 4K frame, each one behaving like its own PTZ camera without the cost or cabling of eight physical units. An 8-channel switcher built into the unit lets an operator select and cut between those cutout feeds live, covering a stage, panel, or classroom from a single wide shot.
It takes two sets of four 3G-SDI inputs plus two HDMI inputs at up to UHD 4K 60p, and mirrors that on the output side with two sets of four 3G-SDI outputs - eight 3G-SDI feeds in total - so each virtual camera can feed its own destination. Datavideo's RMC-185 or RMC-185+ hardware controller connects over Ethernet, RS-232, or RS-422 for joystick-style control of the cutout framing.
