Datavideo NVS-40D 4-Channel Streaming Encoder and Recorder
The NVS-40D is a four-channel streaming encoder and recorder that turns several live sources into simultaneous IP streams and master-quality recordings. It takes four HDMI inputs, with channel one switchable between SDI and HDMI, and encodes each one independently so a multi-camera or multi-room event can be published at different bit rates from a single 1RU box. H.264/AVC High Profile encoding at up to 30 Mbps per channel keeps the streams clean while every incoming signal is recorded at the same time to the included 256GB SSD for a safe archive.
Streaming covers the protocols live production relies on, including RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, HLS, SRT, and TS over TCP/UDP for unicast or multicast. The unit also doubles as an IP video switcher and monitor, offering Quad View, Full Screen, PIP, PBP, and POP layouts. Everything is configured through a web admin menu reachable from a computer, tablet, or phone over the network, so operators set it up and drive it without a dedicated console.
